Hey, I’m Cristina!
A Romanian born twenty-something girl who decided she wants to take on the world.
I’ve had this desire of ‘getting the hell outta here’ ever since I can remember, but somehow life happened and I woke up a few years ago, deep in the dark pit of depression and anxiety, all scared and lonely, surrounded by people I didn’t like, in a place I hated and having absolutely no direction in life.
Getting out of that place wasn’t easy, I’m not going to lie, but after about a year of therapy and self-development, I managed to get up on my own two feet and continue this journey all by myself. And when I say ‘by myself’, I mean it: I went on a two week solo trip to Italy, then upped my game with two months in the UK and Portugal, and next…who knows what will come? (I do, obviously, but I’m not telling you just yet!)
Traveling solo was the bravest and best decision I could have ever made: it makes me stronger by the day, it brings me closer to my real self and helps me overcome my deepest fears. Also, when traveling solo, it’s a lot easier to connect with the locals – because that’s what it’s all about, right? It’s the people and experiences that really make or break a place!
I feel like all my past, present and future life experiences might benefit others as well, so I’ve started this blog in the hopes of creating a community of like-minded people and, why not?, maybe to even to inspire you to get out of that comfort zone and do whatever the hell it is that you want to do. Because if I could do it, anyone can!
Happy travels! Maybe we’ll meet around the world somewhere!
